Artist Biography - Selimstein
I was born in Izmir, Turkey, in 1994, and I grew up in a small coastal town where I learned to observe silence, nature, and emotion. My earliest connection with art began through writing, a form of expression that I kept hidden from the world. Over time, I realized that I could transform my thoughts and emotions into visual symbols instead of words. Drawing became my language of secrecy, and it helped me express ideas that I could never explain aloud.
