My art is repurposing 'found objects' into one-of-a-kind lamps. I use new electrical parts, but the ‘bases’ range from rusty to silver, from vintage to retro and from industrial to whimsical. I prep (clean, de-rust, etc.) the object and then hand-paint the socket, stem, etc. to 'blend'. The wood bases are custom-made by a local woodworker who uses 80 to 150-year-old reclaimed wood from old structures here in the Shenandoah Valley. Each lamp comes with a vintage lightbulb.
